Documentation

What you'll need

A complete checklist for your China visa application. All documents must be provided in English; Bengali documents must be officially translated and notarized.

General documents

  • Valid passport (minimum 7 months validity), with all previous passports if available
  • Two recent photographs, white background, 48mm × 33mm
  • Original bank statement (last 6 months) with solvency certificate, minimum balance 300,000/-
  • National ID or Birth Certificate translated into English
  • Recent utility bill as proof of residence
  • Visiting card in English
  • Detailed travel itinerary with entry dates

Professional status

  • Business persons: trade license, certificate of incorporation, company memorandum, business visiting card
  • Employees: No Objection Certificate (NOC), professional visiting card, employment ID copy
  • Students: student ID copy, leave approval letter
  • Retired persons: official retirement documentation
  • Government service holders: Government Order (GO) and Note Verbale

Special supporting documents

  • Marriage certificate or Nikah Nama if spouse's name is not endorsed in passport
  • Alternative contact for a local guarantor, spouse, father, or mother
  • Notarized affidavit for any name or document discrepancies
  • Sponsorship or invitation letter, if sponsored by family, friends, or a business
  • General Diary and Lost Circular, in case of a previously lost passport
Important. Fingerprints must be completely free of henna, Mehendi, or any coloring at the time of biometric submission.
Note. If the embassy requests further documentation or modifications, they must be fulfilled within 2 working days. An interview may occasionally be requested depending on travel history and visa category.
